Alison & Maxime – Destination Wedding By The Sea

April 27, 2017

Alison and Maxime belong to the class of adventurous couples who take the leap and get married abroad. Portugal, with its wonderful wheather all year round, amazing food and scenic sea side landscapes is a favourite! Certainly so for this charming couple who took advantage of it all at Cascais.

The first ceremony (yes, there was a civil re-enactment later in the day) was at Igreja Paroquial de Nossa Senhora da Assunção in Cascais, a beautiful and bright church with very ornate gilded wood and tiles interior.

The celebration continued at the lovely Hotel da Senhora da Guia.

The couple’s intimate session took place at the world famous Praia do Guincho, just around the corner from the hotel. The beach belongs to a wider Natural Reserve and has a unique micro-climate, where the protected dunes feature as the highlight.

Alison, Maxime and their guests travelled nearly 2000 kilometres from Lille – France, to Potugal – Cascais and, by the looks of it, they didn’t regret it!

It was my second wedding of the year and the first in Portugal since I moved back from UK and I surely had a great time in their company!

Thanks Alison & Maxime!
